a 16-hour workday with david archuleta. illustrated.

On Friday we did a show for the infamous mormon American Idol star. This is the roadblock outside the Hart. I don't think this did much against the few idiots that undoubtedly tried to get on the tour bus, but at least there was room to park the bus and the semi.
SEMI??? yes. they brought a whole 53 foot tractor trailer full of really nice stuff. Here's a rack of expensive guitars:

... and an absolutely dreamy combination of amps. The drum kit was pretty sexy as well.
Did you know BYU is located in Rexford, ID?

The man standing on a box was named Little G. seriously. And by the way, these were the nicest, coolest touring crew we've had since i've worked there. they made it fun.
We obviously got bored during the many slow times during the day, so we converted our work room into a hoppin' dance hall and shook it until the boss came to tell us that the house had opened a half hour early and we were making way too much noise
....and then we did this for 2 hours. The lights were wickeddddd. We worked till 1am putting everything away. Big shows are fun.. so long as they don't happen too often.
