item one: gratitude and faith are almost the same thing. you can deny God, or you can accept His influence in your life and be grateful for it. Or, if you can manage it, you can remain oblivious. You cannot, however, choose to exist without God.

item two: You can view your life as a jigsaw puzzle or an erector set. I think both views are valid at diverse times. Right now, I should probably stop trying to find edge pieces and start drawing up some schematics.

item three: Christmas without television is awesome.
